Course Description
Provides an introductory survey of American history from its colonial origins through the Revolutionary War and the drafting of the constitution. The course emphasizes the impact of certain ideologies, events and individuals upon the American character, including Puritanism, the southern lifestyle, the American Revolution, indentured servitude, and black slavery.
